Extremely Severe Cyclone “Fani”, which hit Puri coast on 3rd May 2019 has devasted costal part of Odisha. This has caused enormous damage in the districts of Puri, Khurda and Cuttack. State capital Bhubaneswar city and Puri city completely paralysed with extensive damages and continue to reel under its impact. The devastating Cyclone has left the people of Odisha in a state of Shock.
Dedicated youths of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Odisha in different groups rushed with essential materials to the affected interior villages, where other machineries are yet to reach. The Organisation has already provided Thousands of emergency Family Kit which includes Dry Food Material, Candles, Match Stick Boxes, Mosquito Repellents, Portable Torch Lights, Safe Drinking Water etc. Besides, The Organisation has also distributed food for cattle and household pets in the affected ares.Cooked Food is being served to thousands of villagers and slum dwellers who are in dire need of prepared Food.
“Sai Janani”, Bhubaneswar which acts as the headquarters of the State Organisation is also functioning as the nodal center for all preparations and disaster management works 24X7. The relief work is being coordinated by the State Disaster Management Team under the able leadership of State President, Odisha.
